Laughing through Life

I am experimenting with increasing my Joy and Valor. Two things I desperately need to know the goodness of life.
I have had the tremendous courage to face the past. Now I am working on releasing my body from the side-effects of medication. Slowly, but surely I am stair-stepping my anti-anxiety and anti-depression medication down. If you have ever been on mood stabilizing medications and have endeavored to lower the dosage, you know that sometimes your mood changes erratically. During these times of unrest in my body, I remind myself that my ultimate goal is to be off of these medications and move toward a holistic approach to living an abundant life.
I dream of a life rooted in love, unencumbered by the shadows of the past. A life that encounters normal emotional joys and sorrows. I believe I can continue to remove the heavy coat of depression and anxiety by meditating on God's word, using grounding techniques (oils help me with this), maintaining a healthy balance in life, and taking the time to do things that bring me joy.
I believe that oils can assist in this process. I am using therapeutic grade, not the stuff you get at your local Walmart. I am using Joy, Valor, Stress Away, Lemon and other oils every day. I am also doing the hard work of maintaining balance in my soul, lifestyle choices, and in surrounding myself with positive relationships. The emotional balance gained by stimulating the olfactory senses alone can improve mood. Smiling is a great benefit to your mood as well. So I am going to inhale gorgeous scents while I sit with a friend and laugh at the silliness of life.
